ASCO-ONS Chemotherapy Safety Standards
The Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) have collaborated to develop the first national standards for the safe administration of chemotherapy drugs, focused on the adult population in the ambulatory setting. The Standards are available here: http://onsopcontent.ons.org/lmASCOONSguidelines.pdf  The Standards will also be printed in the November issue of the Oncology Nursing Forum and a future issue of the Clinical Journal of Oncology Nursing.

7th Edition AJCC Cancer Staging Manual

The American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) released the 7th Edition of the AJCC Cancer Staging Manual in October 2009; use of the new staging criteria went into effect on January 1, 2010. Further information on the 7th Edition, including links to order the new manual, is available on the AJCC Web site at http://www.cancerstaging.org/
