National Cancer Institute Updates CTCAE v 4.0 to 4.02

The National Cancer Institute issued the Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events (CTCAE) version 4.0 on May 29, 2009.  An updated version (4.02) is now in use. The ManageCRC Advisory Panel will reference CTCAE v 4.02 for all references to adverse event grading with the exception of dose modifications that are based on earlier versions. Information cited in ManageCRC webpages will reference the CTCAE version used as a reference.

Information on the prior and current versions, dictionary of terms and cross reference between versions, and PowerPoint presentation on responsible adverse event reporting can be found on the Cancer Therapy Evaluation Program (CTEP) website at http://ctep.cancer.gov/protocolDevelopment/electronic_applications/ctc.htm Updated January 12, 2010.

PDF of CTCAE v 4.02 can be downloaded without charge at http://evs.nci.nih.gov/ftp1/CTCAE/CTCAE_4.02_2009-09-15_QuickReference_8.5x11.pdf. Accessed January 27, 2010.
